Sickening and Inappropriate Behaviour

After this post is read, it is crucial that the reader also go and read here.

Well, it seems that if you cross Roderick Edwards and Brian Simmons theologically, they will set out to try to harm (not physical) you personally. Brian has put up a disgusting smear piece on Phil Naessens all because Phil decided to call out Roderick on his sin.

Listen up Brian, Phil could be Adolf Hitler, and Roderick is still wrong. You ought to be very ashamed of yourself.

Phil can address your post if he wishes to. I don’t dig up dirty laundry on people from nearly a decade ago and on a situation that I know nothing about. That IS stalking, and you are a creepy dude.

Are the “Tacos” a Metaphor?

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by Paul on 31-12-2009

Evidently contrary to what has been otherwise reported in the past “Pretblah” is picking up some attention in the hyperpreterist community.  Sam Frost actually appears to have taken a bit more than 30 minutes to review a recent post of mine.

Is it Sam Voss or Norm Frost?

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by Paul on 31-12-2009

Sam Frost points out that Norm Voss a “Beyond Creation Science” theistic evolutionist doesn’t seem to comprehend the basics of reading literature.   Sam understands that when reading Scripture terms can be used to describe a concrete concept which “denotes” or defines a concept, while that same term or depiction may be employed to “connote” or describe a different concept which is “like” the denoted concrete concept.

When to “Infer” and When to “Deduce”, That is the Question!

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by Paul on 30-12-2009

The hyperpreterist deductive framework as articulated by Martin is always amusing to behold. Indeed I’m reminded of the “thinker” in the movie “Night at the Museum”, who never got past “I’m Thinking”. Martin writes,

The Hyperpreterist Who Missed What Was Relevant to the 1st Century Audience!

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by Paul on 28-12-2009

In an article entitled “Will Jesus Ever Return Again” hyperpreterist Alan Bondar argues, based upon what he perceives as a principle of audience relevance that those passages in the New Testament which address the return of Jesus Christ were meant to be interpreted by the 1st Century audience as occurring within their life-time. Another Misrepresentation by a Hyperpreterist

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by Paul on 28-12-2009

One has to wonder how much Ed Hassertt really understands about what he voices his opinion over.  Ed writes,

Dave Green, Intellectually Dishonest?

In a less than intellectually honest response hyperpreterist Dave Green appears to misrepresent St. Athanasius position.

Stalker much?

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by dee dee on 27-12-2009

Well it appears old friends only decry stalking when it against whoever they like at the moment. If anyone falls out of favour, they are fair game. Shameful. If this is how ex-hyperpreterists behave, I have to wonder if they have fully left the mindset. Their behaviour is indistinguishable in this respect.

Wanda, To Illustrate My Point…

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by Paul on 26-12-2009

Wanda,

In complimenting your conclusions that the meaning of words in Scripture must be determined based upon the immediate context they are found within, (this is what the “grammatico” of grammatico-historical principles of interpretation means), I pointed out Sam Frost wasn’t consistently employing that method.  Indeed I pointed out that Sam couldn’t maintain this principle and support his “corporate” body view as the meaning of the resurrection of the dead in 1 Corinthians 15.  However, Sam begs to differ, Sam writes,
