How to Behave Like a Cultist

Even while I was a hyperpreterist, I was shocked by the behavior of many of the high-profile hyperpreterists (the so-called leaders). One hyperpreterist guy was known for creating anonymous websites trying to reveal his opponents personal information — so much so that he’d post a google map to the person’s house.
Another instance is where a hyperpreterist guy was caught RED-HANDED running what is called “vampire scripts” against his opponents website. A vampire script is a little program designed to repeatedly ping the site every second in an attempt to overload & crash it.
Yet another instance is where a hyperpreterist guy would high-jack passwords (via his IT/computer background) & then pose as a legitimate user on a forum & trash his opponents, making them think it was not him.
A couple of personal instances is where a hyperpreterist leader repeatedly called my house so drunk & slurring his words that he scared my daughter which caused me to come home from work to calm her down. To this day, that hyperpreterist leader will not admit to this & claims instead that I am lying. The next personal instance is where I received an email from a hyperpreterist leader (again trying to pose as someone else) threatening to harm my wife & daughter unless I shut up.
But there is even MORE cultic behavioral examples. The most recent one is where someone is sending emails to anyone they can & trying to post it where ever they can the accusation that in 1990 I was arrested on drug charges & sent to prison.
The accusation is framed as if the person personally knows me & is exposing that I was in prison for drug trafficking. The message being sent around is as follows:

Perhaps had this person who thinks I am the same Roderick Edwards of this arrest case would have done a little research, he/she would realize there is more than one person in the world named Roderick Edwards (see links:

Anyhow, you get my point. Whoever this is trying to discredit me just goes to prove hyperpreterism & its advocates will stop at nothing to advance their heresy. If I was that Roderick Edwards arrested in NY, I would be using that now as a testimony…since I would have obviously had a radical nature change — but alas, I’m not as exciting as the fellow this libelous person wants to make me out to be. ;-) These are the tactics of hyperpreterism. Oh what a “loving” bunch they are.
They know they can’t get around the FACT that to believe hyperpreterism a person MUST believe there has been a 2000 year conspiracy where Christians have been too dumb to see what hyperpreterists now claim. So instead, they must do all they can to stop anyone leaving the cult…especially as more & more are leaving AND are telling the truth about the hyperpreterist movement. Roderick do you know who that person is? That is potentially actionable libel. These are not brothers against whom we should have compunction against taking to court. These people cannot continue to get away with this. If I were you, I would sue him/her just to teach the others a lesson. They flew under the radar with me, getting in just under the cyberstalking radar (though Florida has wised up) and treading the libel line. However, that is completely libelous.
That is sick. Really. I thought it was bad enough to be called a lesbian housewife in an email by the stellar example of hyperpreterist leadership - Samuel Frost.
Well, I don’t know who it really is. A friend supposedly knows but won’t tell me (hmmm) But as you can see, the person pretends they are the “Lily” person from the arrest case.
Once again folks, the Bible says:

Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
Add to that BAD theology & this is the kind of stuff you get. This is the reason hyperpreterists always want to claim “character doesn’t matter — let’s talk about the issues”. Character IS the issue. Another verse:

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
Bad character leads to bad theology & bad theology leads to bad character.

This person claims not to be a full preterist and you have been defended in this matter by a full preterist. What was said is horrible, but it is not a full preterist matter and you are being opportunistic to try to tie it to your theological opponents. Your assertion that all full preterists are of bad character or are on their way to bad character is ridiculous and unsupportable.
I am sorry for what is being said about you, especially as it is not true. Please do not fall into the same trap concerning other people.

Ray, Roderick is not claiming that every hyperpreterist is like that (and I will caution you, I don’t tolerate the semantic nonsense by hyperpreterists on this blog, so “full preterism” is crap). He is claiming an awful LOT are. And that has been my experience as well. I point out each and every time I have found a hyperpreterist to NOT be like that. If I had a dollar for every time I said I respected David Green, I would be rich.
This is not opportunistic. Several hyperpreterists did their best to make my life a living hell for nearly a year and behaved in gross unethical behaviour. Others were involved who repented and thus are forgotten. Others have not, and another has reneged partially.
So Ray don’t you DARE come here and give me that crap. You have NO FREAKIN’ idea of what SOME of the hyperpreterist community is capable of. You do it again, and I will show you the door because I find it personally insulting. My family was and myself still have no gotten over what was done to me.
The pattern IS there. The “leaders” are the ones most culpable.
However lest any of those same hyperpreterists think of pulling that crap again, they will find that I am a much tougher broad than I used to be. And the attitude of Florida law has changed a lot. Internet bullying and stalking is no longer viewed as benign as it used to be since that MySpace suicide.
Kudos to the parties who were involved and kept their word. Forgiven and forgotten, and the only remaining ones are several hyperpreterists who know who they are.
And yes now I am on a rant, I wonder why Ray that nearly every hyperpreterists that comes out of that cultic movement says the same thing. We must all be mentally ill liars. At some point, the observer’s baloney detector comes out, and these denials sound as hollow as scientologists claiming they don’t do Bad Thingstm to silence their critics.

I couldn’t agree more. Here is what is ironic. He accuses Roderick of being obsessed with SGP yet as far as I know he doesn’t try to post there multiple times a day. It is a public site. He reads it. Many hyperpreterists read this site. Only one has a freaky spam comment obsession. I wonder who that could be? Oh yeah, its “idiot@idiot.com”. In the meantime he calls me a SICKO. Yes, all caps. Oh and he complains that Roderick emails people after being asked not to. I am not Roderick. If Roderick does that, he shouldn’t. The spammer IP is using Hughes Network Systems which is if I recall correctly, a satellite IP. The spammer also uses typical Jason Bradfield words & phraseology like “idiot”, “boob” & ends sentences with “hahaha”. The same Jason that is in denial of what has actually gone on within the hyperpreterist movement with all the corrupt people either trying to crash websites, or REALLY stalking people, or ACTUALLY threatening to harm people. Jason, take papa Sam’s advice & stop acting like a child.
Hopefully if that is Jason he will listen to what Samuel has said. I always knew it wasn’t Samuel’s doing, no matter what disagreements I have with him, whenever he has attempted to post here (which is rare) it has never been with a fake email address and he has always used the user name he uses everywhere.
It has been told to me that Jason Bradfield denies being the spammer. I don’t trust him and have absolutely zero reason to believe him. There are things I have not posted publicly that were said in those spammed comments that points pretty directly at him. So one can either buy a conspiracy theory that someone is so bored that they are impersonating Jason and so entrenched at SGP’s reading posts that they can parrot things Jason has said there or they can believe it is him. The “impersonation theory” is made all the more UNlikely considering two additional factors:
I even acknowledge about 10% (if that) of all the tripe that is spammed.
Jason pulled this same crap many times before using his usual username until I blocked it, the spammer didn’t start until I blocked Jason’s handles.
Your choice, doesn’t matter to me. Whoever it is will be reported to their ISP if they continue.
Someone named “Lilly Jones” posted the same message to my blog a few days ago. I tried contacting her via the email she provided, but it got bounced back at me. Although I generally hold an “Uncensored comments” policy, I told her that if I found it to be a hoax I’d delete the comment. As of today no news is forthcoming, so I’m deleting the comment, and am saving the info in my personal files. I suspect the person is a hyper-preterist.

I suspect Virgil Vaduva & here is why — the comments on your blog from this Lily Jones person who according to the account is the “co-conspirator” in the crime committed by that “Roderick Edwards” in NY, those comments include the accusation that I “attack people’s family members”. Virgil has used this phraseology before claiming I have “attacked his family members” when I pointed out that his father-in-law, Terry Hall recently committed adultery. This news is not otherwise important for the public to know except for a few reasons:
By the way, the person that brought all this out in the open was a congregant of Hall’s “church”. He was attempting to follow Mt 18 & bring Hall under discipline but Vaduva quickly squashed that effort because of the bad publicity it would have on the movement.
