I was reading some of the comments made by hyperpreterist on an article:
I am often in conflict with myself on the continuing value of the Scriptures when viewed from the Preterist perspective. The central thesis of Preterism, as I understand it, is that all things written have been fulfilled. Now I know its not a pleasant thought but this leaves us surely with that reality of which Paul wrote in 1 Cor. 13 that all that remains is faith hope and charity, because the Perfect, that is the New Covenant, has come.
This person is taking things to their logical conclusion, and I always admire that kind of stand. However, no wonder Paul called an idea a faith-wrecking gangrene. Nolo Scriptura. Heresy begets heresy….. I suspect Arianism would find a welcome place in the hyper-preterist fold given enough time.

Just the other day I was looking into the word “perfect”. My thought was, if the “perfect” has come then what more can be added to it? Perfect is complete.
The word “perfect” in 1 Cor 13;10:

Mike, this is so tired. Here’s a clue: I NO LONGER WANTED TO COMPROMISE CHRISTIANITY with the continual DENIALS hyper preterism was forcing me to make (denial of the continuing incarnation, denial of God knowing all his people, denial of progressive sanctication, denial of classic theism, denial, denial denial). Also, a denial of the Reformed Faith, which you claim (RINO) to uphold. You are right, Mike, I didn’t want to compromise anymore……hyper preterist implications, increasingly seen on Facebook (you can hide your head in the sand all you want), is COMPROMISE to the truth….better to conclude that maybe, just maybe, my hyper heresy was WRONG. Get it? Bonehead.
Sam there is nothing of value there, I no longer read it. That is another reason I am reposting some of the back catalog, to give readers something more useful than the pretcosmos nonsense.
You don’t have to defend yourself against them, nothing will ever be enough. I think it is more than high time to remember the second part of the proverbs, do not answer a fool according to his folly.

I know it is so hard to do! But the work you and Jason are doing is so much more valuable to the Body. I encourage you in Christ to keep your eye on the prize. There is no end to those who will foolishly babble about you (or me) or anyone.
Ditto Dee Dee. Sam, Jason, don’t ley anyone get you down on the work you both are doing at ROC. Same with Dee and Paul.
