Let’s see how many hyperpreterist sites will post a link to this podcast — after all the hyperpreterists keep clamoring for guys like Dr. Gentry to speak to the issue, and here he is.




Oh I wish I could call in, but that would be spun as cheerleading by the hypers anyways, but I have one of my award-winning migraines today. I just got up and even looking at the dimmed screen is making my eyes hurt. I am glad I don’t get migraines often like some people do, at least with chronic back pain, it isn’t literally in your head.
The podcast will be transcribed in text form hopefully sometime next week and posted here as well as I’m sure on Covenant Radio. Dr. Gentry spent 30 minutes speaking and Dr. Talbot rounded out the remaining time making several main points:

I appreciate Gentry’s works. I never stop learning from the guy.
I would imagine the hyperpreterist was caught off guard and a bit taken a back when Dr. Talbot pointed out that before any debate can begin with the hyprepreterist over eschatology, one needs to define if it even fits within the circles of Christian theology. It certainly doesn’t sound like Dr. Talbot thinks hyperpreterism has been granted access to the table.
The guy is good I have been reading Dr. Kenneth Gentry stuff since 1998.That was the year that I went from being a Dispensationalist to a Partial-Preterist.I wish his all the good luck exposing the Hyper-Preterist for what they are.
