It’s the Doctrine Silly!

I couldn’t bring myself to say “stupid” in the way of “it’s the economy stupid.” I had an interesting experience listening in to a heretical preterist chat this evening. Some outright falsehoods were told which will be the subject of another blog. That was the bad and the ugly. As for the somewhat good, I note the following:

Sam Frost refrained from a tactic he did on a heretical site in which he thought a site in which I was called a b**** and was threatened was something that he had to promote - in the talk he granted me basic personal rights, and for that I thank him without reservation. He also in chat recognized that my comments are not personal but doctrinal and expressed zero personal animosity. I feel zero personal animosity towards him as well only his doctrine, and I don’t bear grudges, his good behaviour in Paltalk has cancelled out his prior indiscretion - and in our blog conversation we were able to clash without personal rancor as it should be.

And some of you may find it strange that I would call this “good” - but a chat room participant asked if he could call me a “wicked servant” since I “said the Lord was delaying His coming.” First of all I don’t - but I really wish the heretical preterists would get this through their heads - YES! I AM A HERETIC IN YOUR VIEW! THAT DOESN’T BOTHER ME - I HAVE THE THEOLOGICAL BACKBONE TO ACCEPT EVERYTHING THAT FALLS OUT OF MY POSITION. Why in the world would anyone think that is a zinger? Whatever happened to simple logic?

S0 please heretical preterists, get it straight - if in your view I am a heretic, you would be a coward not to call me one and dishonest. And thus so for me. And as a mature person who doesn’t go boo-hoo when someone strongly disagrees with my doctrine, it will not send me into an Oscar-worthy portrayal of a hurt puppy. I will respect you for it as attacks on my doctrine are not attacks on my person.

Oh and just for laughs, one participant decided that he would go on and on about me and how “dee dee couldn’t debate her way out of a paper bag” - when - big surprise - HE NEVER READ ANYTHING BY ME! Ha, that is rich. He thought I was a dispensationalist! Sam corrected him promptly by telling him I am deeply opposed to dispensationalism. It is so nice that this guy mouthed off in utter ignorance. And what is that rant I constantly here from hyperpreterists about “demonization” - can anyone say h-h-h-h-h-h-hypocrisy?

So why do I go to these rooms occcasionally? The same reason they read my site. To hear what those to whom we are theologically opposed are thinking. If they choose to get juvenile that is their problem. I have attended these chats for hours without disruption, just to listen. I do not cause a problem, I prefer to be educated about what those whom I oppose actually say and do rather than speaking in ignorance, thus I hear it from them.
